I have some up to date pictures showing the progress I have made in my craft space.  Sorry so long in posting.  There has been a lot of life going on around here lately.  Today I took time to take pics and now I am going to post them.  I hope you enjoy them.

The closet is a little neater now.  I actually got rid of a lot of craft stuff, which I gave to my daughter and granddaughter. I can actually walk into the closet now, but now I can't find anything!  lol  Isn't that always the way?

Ok now for the rest of the space.

This is just outside of the closet.

My sewing Machine.  The little white clear draws can be pushed under the sewing table when I am working on a quilt. Or I could leave it to help support my quilt.

My cutting table.  Can you believe it?  I can actually use the whole thing! lol

The space behind the door.  It is not ideal, but it works for me.  Do you see where I put one of the fans that was originally in my closet? Yep it is peeking up over the cutting table.
Well I hope you enjoyed this little tour. Now I believe I will cut out some fabric for a cover for my sewing machine.  I will post pics later.  Thanks for stopping by

What I Have Been Up To

Hi everyone.  I know it has been forever since my last post...again. I have been keeping myself busy though.  I have not finished my quilt pillow yet. All I have left to do is the quilting, which is really not hard at all.  I've just been so pre-occupied with my house lately.

I have been cleaning my kitchen.  I went through all my cupboards and kept somethings and donated somethings to the Salvation Army.  I have most of it done. I am left with under the sink and the dreaded filing cabinet! Some how that filing cabinet has become a catchall for stuff I don't know what to do with.  Does that ever happen to you?  The top drawer is loaded with papers; papers I have sort of, kind of, filed.  It is a total mess!

When I finish that I get to tackle my bedroom/craft space and the closet.  I didn't think of taking before and after pictures of the kitchen, but I did take before pics of my craft space and closet.  So I will share those with you here.  It has really gotten out of hand as you will see.

Okay, WHAT A MESS!!!
Now you can see why I have been so preoccupied with my house. If I let it get any worse, I could be on the Hoarders show on tv.
UGH!

So those are my before pics and as soon as I get one section done. I will put up pictures of that section. And when the next part is done, I'll post more pictures and so on and so forth.  Just keep in mind that it will take me a while to do this because I am disabled and have to sit down often because of the pain in my back and hips. Not complaining!  I can get it done little by little. And I will be so happy when it is done!

You probably can tell that I have way too many hobbies.  Lol, I agree with you.  I am seriously considering giving up some of them.  I have three of my favorite hobbies, which are; quilting, paper crafts and crochet.  So I will be donating other things to my daughter and grand daughter.

Well, I am off for now.  Hope you all have a great weekend.

Block for Quilt Pillow

Well here is my pillow pocket for the quilt pillow I am working on.  Don't look too close, please.  I had a little trouble with my points, but okay for a beginner.  Thanks for stopping by.

Mystery Crochet

I have joined a crochet along.  This is my first time doing anything like this.  I have been crocheting for many years.  I usually follow someone's directions because I have yet to know how to figure my own pattern.  My mother use to design her own patterns when she knit, crocheted, even sewing and quilting.  Maybe I should have asked her to show me how to do that too.
These little triangles are the first step in the mystery crochet along.   I can't wait to see what is next!

We were told to make four different colors so here are mine.  Now I am going to go work on the next step which are hearts.  This is the link to step # 1 If you would like to join in also.  You can find the creator of this CAL (crochet-a-long) Sara, here.  I will be back to post this weeks part 2 in a day or two.

special cards and a gift

I have made a few things lately and thought I would post pictures today.  I will start with the card I made for a very special couple, who celebrate their Birthdays very close together.

We gave them the card last week and they just loved it. And of course they loved the gift card for /Wrangler's Restaurant.

Now this little project is called the Envelope Box.  I made it for my friend, who uses the envelope system for her budget.  She just loved it and said it is working perfectly for her.  I am so glad she likes it.

Now this card is for someone special who will be graduating from college soon.  I hope to have some money to add too it by that time.  I think I will have time enough for that.  Now I am going to go to work on making a similar card like this for my grand daughter who is graduating 8th grade this week.  I will post the pictures when it is finished.   Tootles for now.

Hi, everyone.  I have been busy playing with my yarn stash.  No I haven't given up scrapbooking.  I have been working on Christmas gifts for family.  I have made some mini albums and now I am knitting hats and scarfs for the young ones and maybe some of the old ones. lol  Anyway I just wanted to share some pictures of some of the things I have done so far.
A pair of slippers I crocheted for myself recently.
The second hat I made using the Innovations Knitting machine.
The first hat I knitted using the Innovations
                              knitting machine.

I have other things I have knitted with the IK machine.  I will take pics of them and share them later.  Thanks for stopping by.

Hello everyone.  I am back. And so soon!  I have some pictures to share with you tonight.  I made a "mini" album (its really not that mini), but it is smaller than a 12x12.

I made this album for my Aunt Merna.  Her daughter planned a surprise Birthday party for her a couple of weeks ago.  Aunt Merna was so surprised she cried.  She loved this book. She was so excited. She told us that she had many loose pictures and now she has a place for them.  So glad you liked Auntie.

I made the cover simple. And I added the butterflies because I knew how much Aunt Merna loves butterflies.

This is the spine.  It is hard to tell but the elements are 3D.

This is the front inside cover and the first page.
As you can see there are some tabs on the first page.  Pulling those tabs reveal matted tags that fit nicely in the pockets.  The tab on the center right reveals a large tag with more matting for pictures.
As you can see on this pic, I pulled out a couple of tags so you can see them.

This double page layout has some small pockets in toward the binding with a few tags to journal on.

Another double layout with more tags for photos and journaling.

This tag is one of the longer ones which came from the bottom right side.

I pulled the large tag out partially so you can see how there is more real estate for pics.
These are more journaling tags and for more pics which fit in the small pockets near the binding.

Here I pulled a large tag out of its pocket so you can see the pretty paper I chose from my stash of K&Company stacks.  Can you tell I like flowers?
This is the last page of the album.  I think Aunt Merna will be having fun filling up these beautiful pagers. And then showing it off to her friends when they stop in for coffee.
This is the back cover.  I kept it plain and simple because the paper is so pretty.  Enjoy your album, Aunt Merna.

And thank you for stopping by.

Have you made a memory today?
