Hi, everyone.  I have been busy playing with my yarn stash.  No I haven't given up scrapbooking.  I have been working on Christmas gifts for family.  I have made some mini albums and now I am knitting hats and scarfs for the young ones and maybe some of the old ones. lol  Anyway I just wanted to share some pictures of some of the things I have done so far.
A pair of slippers I crocheted for myself recently.
The second hat I made using the Innovations Knitting machine.
The first hat I knitted using the Innovations
                              knitting machine.

I have other things I have knitted with the IK machine.  I will take pics of them and share them later.  Thanks for stopping by.

Hello everyone.  I am back. And so soon!  I have some pictures to share with you tonight.  I made a "mini" album (its really not that mini), but it is smaller than a 12x12.

I made this album for my Aunt Merna.  Her daughter planned a surprise Birthday party for her a couple of weeks ago.  Aunt Merna was so surprised she cried.  She loved this book. She was so excited. She told us that she had many loose pictures and now she has a place for them.  So glad you liked Auntie.

I made the cover simple. And I added the butterflies because I knew how much Aunt Merna loves butterflies.

This is the spine.  It is hard to tell but the elements are 3D.

This is the front inside cover and the first page.
As you can see there are some tabs on the first page.  Pulling those tabs reveal matted tags that fit nicely in the pockets.  The tab on the center right reveals a large tag with more matting for pictures.
As you can see on this pic, I pulled out a couple of tags so you can see them.

This double page layout has some small pockets in toward the binding with a few tags to journal on.

Another double layout with more tags for photos and journaling.

This tag is one of the longer ones which came from the bottom right side.

I pulled the large tag out partially so you can see how there is more real estate for pics.
These are more journaling tags and for more pics which fit in the small pockets near the binding.

Here I pulled a large tag out of its pocket so you can see the pretty paper I chose from my stash of K&Company stacks.  Can you tell I like flowers?
This is the last page of the album.  I think Aunt Merna will be having fun filling up these beautiful pagers. And then showing it off to her friends when they stop in for coffee.
This is the back cover.  I kept it plain and simple because the paper is so pretty.  Enjoy your album, Aunt Merna.

And thank you for stopping by.

My Memories creation and Freebies!

Hello everyone.  I have been busy for the past 2 weeks or so.  I thought I could get things rolling on my blog, but it just seems like every time I plan to do something I want to do, something else takes first priority.  Well, my husband was home for two weeks and we were able to clean out one bay in our two car garage.  I was so ashamed of it I didn't take any pictures before the purging.  Oh, and now we have two large tarps over a large amount of yard sale "stuff" because it decided to rain for 3 days.  LOL. Isn't that just the way it goes?  Well enough about that.  Check out this video of some  page layouts I created using My Memories Scrapbook software.

New Craft Room

Hi every one.  I am back.  I have been busy working in my new craft room.  Yes, you heard me correctly!  I have my very own craft room.  My husband and I finally found a newer model mobile home. We moved in around early June.  What great fun we had packing and moving our things to the storage unit just down the road.  (We had the old mobile home demolished and removed from the lot.) After the newer home was delivered and set up on the newly extended slab, we moved all our stuff  into our new home.

I have room enough at my table for at least 2 people to work comfortably.
There is plenty of room to move around easily.
I will be working on some shelves sometime in the future.
My hubby said he may be able to make me some.  No hurry.  The walls need a change of color first.

There will be new things happening here. So be watching.
Thanks for stopping by.

A Baby Shower Book

Good afternoon, everyone!  It has been a very nice day here in Maine. The sun is shining and the temperature is 74 degrees outside in the sun.
Well, I have been taking pictures of a baby shower book I made for a friend.  I would like to share the pics with you.

This is the cover of the 11in. x 11in. hand made book.  If you enlarge the picture you can see the pink, half pearls on the first letter of each word.

This is the book opened.  Notice the "Hello Kitty" in the left top corner.   She is out in the rain. I used the Hello Kitty Greeting Cricut cartridge to cut her out and the Pooh Font Set Cricut cartridge to cut out the words.  I used the Cricut Gypsy to weld the words together. More about the papers, card stock, and embellishments later.

On the bottom left corner you will find a box with files inside.  Those files are filled with computer generated forms; for the Guest to sign and to leave a comment to the mother-to-be, a list for all the gifts she receives, and the list of games played at the baby shower.

This is the accordion photo album for all those wonderful baby shower pictures that will be taken during the festivities.

This is the envelope photo album where all those pictures of Mommy-to-be will be.  These photos will tell the story of Mommy as she goes through each month while waiting for sweet baby to arrive.  As the album is opened you can see on the left and right sides there is room for pictures also.

Each envelope holds a tabbed photo mat embellished with a button indicating what month she is at during her pregnancy. There is room for photos on the front and back of each file.

This was a large project.  I really enjoyed making this.  This book may have come from multiple ideas I have seen on many different blogs or sites, but this design is totally my own.

The papers, card stock, and embellishments I used to create this book are from my personal, non Stampin' Up products.

Thank you for stopping by.  I hope you enjoyed what you see here.
Have a great day!

Pat
